Transportation will NOT be provided to the Lombard Lilac Festival. Lilacia park is  accessible via I-290 W. Although parking should be plentiful, we HIGHLY recommend carpooling. We will supply snacks and water for you to enjoy, so please bring a reusable water bottle. 

All tours begin in the Carriage House located at 23 W. Maple Street NOT at Lilacia Park. So we will meet at the Carriage house at 9:30AM. Its the brown building at the rear of the property behind the yellow house.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour begins to allow time to check-in.

The tour will last approximately 60 minutes and will run rain or shine.

• What to expect: The lilacs are in full bloom! The Lilac Heritage Tour offers visitors a chance to discover the unique history of the park, from Colonel William Plum’s original lilac collection to its transformation into a public space enjoyed by generations. You'll learn more about lilacs, the community’s long-standing annual Lilac Time festivities, and how Jensen’s vision helped shape this beloved local destination. 

• Grab a bite after the event at a local restaurant. Here are a few that they suggest: Rosemary and Jeans Public House, Babcock’s Grove House, GroundLevel 105, Shannon’s Deli, and Gnarly Knots Pretzel Company!

• Get a souvenir! There are not one, not two, but three giftshops in Lilacia Park.

FAQ's 

When can I sign up? Tickets have already distributed. But please sign up for the Monthly newsletter so you won't miss any more ticket drops!

Why is the form unavailable/ link not working? That is because we are out of tickets. We close the sign up when capacity has been met. 

Will you be supplying transportation? No, not this time; we typically supply transportation for trips that are further away. If you are taking the Metra, the training station lets out at Parkside Ave and Park Ave. Head 1 block south from the train station down Park Ave. The yellow house is at the end of the block. I've included a map below.

Will you organize a carpool? No, we do not have the capacity to organize a carpool at the moment; but you are welcome to coordinate with friends and family on your own accord. We are working on this being a future option. 

Can I or a friend tag along without a ticket? No, all participants must have a ticket. Tickets cannot be purchased on the day of the event. 

Is there parking? Street parking is available on Park Ave. across from Lilacia Park. Metra parking is also available on the weekends.

How do I know if I secured a spot? You will receive a confirmation from Black People Outside.
