The system encompasses three main areas: Swallow Cliff Woods, Sag Valley, and Maple Lake. Each area offers its own unique charm and diverse landscapes, ensuring a rewarding experience for every visitor.

We haven't been yet but we noticed there is a campground right at Palos! Alongside the picturesque Bullfrog Lake, the campground offers a serene and tranquil setting for camping enthusiasts. With 29 well-maintained campsites, picnic areas, and fire pits, it provides all the essentials for a memorable outdoor experience.

Whenever we slide through we check out the yellow loop trail near maple lake. We sometimes hike a few miles or ride our Darwin Mountain E-bikes.
