Badlands Off- Roading Park

Our First Time Offroading

We were presented with the opportunity to try the brand new 2022 Chevy Trailboss from Chevrolet. We were super excited to be able to borrow this car for a week free of charge. It even included gas and tolls. We thought we were ballin'. We accepted the car and a week or two later a person pulled up in the giant shiny bright red Trail Boss pickup truck. We were not expecting this truck to be so big. The wheels were massive, sporting Wrangler tires. The driver handed Kam the keys after a brief interaction and we were on our way. I couldn't even get in, I had to climb in because the truck was so large! We took this massive cherry red truck around the block and gave our first impressions. All I remember is us agreeing that we were in love with it. As we sat on the couch at home we had to figure out what to do with this truck in order to put it to the test. I went online to find a place close to us where I can drive freely. I found "Badlandz Offroading Park" in indiana. I asked my brother to tag along for car mentorship and car knowledge purposes. I did not want anything to happen to that truck in my posession.

We packed lunch and snacks in our igloo roller cooler and picked up my brother in indiana. We drove for about 2 hours until we reached the park in Attica, IN. We met the social media manager in the store. She was so nice. She gave us a flag to put on our car so we can be visible coming over tall hills. She also showed us around on the map and explained how everything worked. She was so kind and extremely helpful, making our first time experience a breeze. Before we started we tested our camping gear at the campgrounds on site. We pitched our tent and made pancakes and sausages then came up with our plan for the day. Time went by really fast because the time changed and we lost an hour. We decided my brother would drive first "to show us how it's done" and then I would go second and Kam after that.

The very first lesson that was learned was you MUST wear your seatbelt, especially in the back! When my brother hit the first bump on the course, I went flying into the ceiling of the truck hitting my head hard as ever, I felt like an accordian the way I was squashed against the roof. Badlands has a massive 1,400+ acres of diverse terrain, and it looked like they were developing more courses. This park has gravel courses, sand dunes, mud, rocks, wetlands, and ramps for all driving experience levels. The courses are meant for all types of offroad vehicles from dune buggies, to dirt bikes, to big daddy trucks like ours!

We all took turns driving for about 3 hours. My brother even coached me into some donuts in the sand (which was lit af by the way). When I got home to edit, I saw a deer in the background crossing the road in one of our videos. You should totally look out for wildlife here, because I did not see that in real life. But anyway I think we had a complete blast for our first time off road. We hope yall try it out too!

This was a gifted experience but I try my best to be honest. Check out the youtube video here!
